Get to Know Us
Equal Pathways is a charity dedicated to opening doors for underrepresented young people by providing meaningful work experience in leading UK law firms and top corporate organisations. Founded to address the lack of access, guidance, and opportunities available to students from less advantaged backgrounds, we exist to ensure talent is recognised, regardless of postcode or circumstance. Through structured placements, mentorship, and professional development, we aim to empower the next generation to build confidence, gain real-world insight, and pursue successful futures in the legal profession.
The Trustees
We are proud to introduce our dedicated Board of Trustees, who provide essential guidance and oversight to our charity. Each trustee brings a unique blend of expertise, insight, and passion, helping to shape our strategy and ensure we stay true to our mission. Their leadership is instrumental as we work to create meaningful and lasting impact within our community. We are deeply grateful for their commitment, vision, and service.

Taranah’s support has been especially impactful for our students from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds.
These placements provided firsthand experience in a professional legal environment, inspiring many of the students involved to pursue law at university. Remarkably, several of these students are now the first in their families to enter higher education, an achievement made possible by the vision and effort behind the opportunities they received.

"This was my first experience in a legal environment, and I felt genuinely welcomed and supported by Taranah throughout; being included in real aspects of practice and meetings gave me confidence and made a career in law feel achievable and accessible."

Taranah's great planning, organisation, and coordination skills ensured that each student received a comprehensive introduction to the legal field. She developed a structured program that included shadowing experienced professionals, participating in team meetings, and handling tasks, which collectively provided the students with a holistic view of the industry.
